As with most neurotic disorders, prevelance of anxiety falls with age.

Around 12% of elderly people have moderate-severe anxiety

This is excessive worry about different events

It’s associated with heightened tension

Panic Disorder (see more here)

Recurring unforseen panic attacks

Followed by at least a onth of persistent worry about having another attack.

Or a significant change in behaviour related to panic attacks
